How to Select the Right Size?
It is important to measure the circumference of the paw accurately and choose the appropriate size. This brace is designed to protect the joint, not to restrict movement, which can inadvertently happen with the wrong size. Therefore, be precise when measuring, and ensure your dog stands still.
- Measure the circumference of the paw with a tape measure or string.
- Measure the circumference a few cm below the joint, as shown in the picture.
- Compare with the circumference in the table below. If you are in doubt between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller one.
- Select whether it is a left or right brace.
Size | Paw Circumference | Example Breeds |
XS | 7.5 - 11.5 cm | Cocker Spaniel, Small Greyhound |
S | 11.6 - 16 cm | Springer Spaniel, Border Collie |
M | 16.1 - 20.5 cm | Labrador, Dalmatian |
L | 20.6 - 25 cm | German Shepherd, Golden Retriever |
XL | 25.1 - 32 cm | Rottweiler |
Note: Consult with a veterinarian (canine orthopedist) and/or a canine physical therapist before use.
