Reducing Pain in Knee Issues
The knee brace for dogs is used to reduce pain in osteoarthritis, ligament injuries, meniscus injuries, tibia, or tendinitis. In cases of ligament injuries and similar conditions, dogs often need to wear the brace before surgery, and a few days after surgery, when the swelling subsides, it can be worn again.
A soft and durable knee joint brace improves the quality of life for dogs who limp or have joint pain. It reduces pain and swelling by stabilizing the hind leg and balancing the muscle groups around the knee. With improved mobility of stiff muscles, the dog can recover sooner and walk normally. Because the brace applies gentle pressure on the joint, it relieves pressure on it and increases the dog's stability and prevents the injury from progressing.
Which size to choose?
- Use a tape measure or string to measure the circumference of the leg at the height of the groin as shown below.
- Compare with the circumference in the table below. If you're unsure between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller one.
- Choose whether it is a left or right brace.
