Support for Walking and Standing, Designed for the Whole Body
At Ortocanis, they have created a harness that provides support for dogs from neck to tail. It was developed in collaboration with experts in dog prosthetics, specialized orthopedic veterinarians, and canine physiotherapists, with a special focus on dogs that have just undergone surgery or older dogs with difficulties in walking and standing up (arthritis, post-op herniated disc, arthrosis, ...) .
The harness supports the dog's entire body and allows for correct posture when standing and walking. We recommend it for medium to large dogs recovering from surgeries or for elderly dogs with spine, hip, and knee pain.
By regularly using the harness, we enable our dog to have a more fulfilled life in their later years and/or ease recovery and movement during rehabilitation.
Features
- Made from nylon, lined with soft fabric for maximum comfort. Adjustable straps allow for the right size, secured with buckles.
- The harness is machine washable.
- Includes an adjustable strap for humans, designed to assist with easier lifting.
Important: The harness IS NOT SUITABLE for holding a dog in the air; the paws must always touch the ground.
How to Choose the Right Size?
1. Use a tailor's tape measure or string to measure the chest circumference as shown below.
2. Compare the dog's measurements with the sizes in the table below.
3. If the dog's measurements fall between sizes, choose the smaller size.
Available Sizes:
Size | Chest Circumference | Weight |
S | 36 - 46 cm | <7 kg |
M | 47 - 66 cm | 7-12 kg |
L | 67 - 79 cm | 12-20 kg |
XL | 80 - 110 cm | 20-30 kg |
XXL | 111 - 120 cm | 30-50 kg |
Note: Consult with a veterinarian (canine orthopedist) and/or canine physiotherapist before use.
