Ordering and measuring instructions for your dog:

Measure the dog at the three points marked below, H2, P1, and O1, and send the measurements in the order note.

O1 = widest chest circumference
H1 = at the dog's withers (between the shoulder blades) to the widest circumference (O1)
P1 = from the sternum (first indentation under the neck) to O1.

Why Mi2 harnesses?

Mi2 harnesses are comfortable for the dog and are neither harmful to their health nor mental wellbeing. They allow unrestricted movement and communication with other dogs. Straps are made of nylon, which offers several advantages such as high mechanical resistance to abrasion, lightweight, and softness to the touch. The material does not rub or cut the dog's skin or the handler's hands. It is characterized by ease of cleaning (machine washable, doesn't shrink, dries quickly, and requires no ironing), is not attacked by moths, and is non-toxic and hypoallergenic.

All straps are nicely finished and hemmed outward so that the ends and stitches do not irritate or pinch the dog. The clips are made of very durable plastic, withstand temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius, open and close smoothly, and have no sharp edges.

In Mi2 dog school, they recommend and use H-type harnesses (the letter H is visible on the back, and the letter Y in the front on the chest) for several reasons:

• psychologically a dog, like any other creature, feels better if not being choked and dragged around by the neck. In very serious situations, dogs are punished with a bite on the skin fold on the upper neck, a bite on the lower neck is intended to kill the opponent. Therefore, the dog's neck is very sensitive to any touching, especially pressing and tightening, which constantly happens with collars and choke collars (not to mention other devices like halters, electric collars, collars that spray various liquids on the dog, etc.),
• from a health perspective the neck is also very sensitive. The outer neck is covered by skin protected from external factors by hair, which cannot guard against injuries caused by the aforementioned devices.

Using collars can result in injuries such as:

• trachea injury and breathing difficulties (beware of breeds with flattened snouts!!),
• esophagus and sublingual bone injuries (difficult and painful swallowing),
• lymph node damage (thymus, whose damage is critical in pups and young dogs!!),
• thyroid gland, vein damage, and associated eye pressure (beware of breeds with flattened snouts and protruding eyes!!), impaired blood flow to and from the brain,
• muscle tightness (such injuries affect the movement of the entire body),
• vertebrae and intervertebral disc injuries (spinal osteoarthritis and disc herniation), pinching of cervical spine nerves and much more could be listed

A Swedish study showed that 63% of dogs have back problems, 91% of these frequently pull on a collar or are often pulled by their owners by the collar.

Pulling on a leash is not just unpleasant due to stress, irritability, and negative associations with the environment that occur when pulling but can also lead to severe behavioral and other irreparable health issues.

What makes a good harness?

• has a Y shape at the front, with its center not lying on the soft part of the neck but at the start of the sternum.
• does not obstruct the shoulders, allowing the legs to move freely.
• does not obstruct the neck and remains entirely on the chest
• does not rub the dog under the armpits

So, don't let thoughts like "my dog doesn't pull on a leash" be an excuse to use inappropriate equipment, as sometimes just one pull is enough to cause injury. We believe every dog deserves the best and we all love our dogs. Remember that love never pulls you by the neck.
