A dog-friendly harness that does not restrict natural movement and prevents escape

The Mi2 double harness is designed for fearful dogs and those that easily slip out of regular harnesses and collars. The harness is non-rotatable as the lower part is designed to fit snugly against the dog's chest.

Four clips for closure and 8-point strap adjustments do not obstruct the armpits and adapt well to your dog's body. They ensure comfortable, relaxed, and safe walks. The harness is available in various colors and strap widths.

Instructions for ordering and measuring your dog:

**Measure your dog in six places as indicated in the image below and send the measurements in the order note.

O1 = widest chest circumference
O2 = narrowest circumference (below the last rib)
H1 = from the dog's wither (between shoulder blades) to the widest circumference (O1)
H2 = from the wither to the narrowest circumference (O2)
P1 = from the breastbone (first indentation under the neck) to O1
P2 = from the breastbone to the narrowest circumference (O2).

**When ordering, choose the desired “SIZE” according to the CHEST – O1 as shown in the image above (the first circumference measured at the widest part of the chest 3-4 fingers behind the legs).
As these are specific harnesses, please write down the other measurements as shown in the image under NOTES when ordering.
  • Circumference – O2 measure the circumference at the narrowest part of the chest, measured between the last ribs, where the transition to the abdominal cavity is felt
  • Line P1 measure by finding the beginning of the breastbone with your hand, which starts immediately after the first indentation under the neck, and extend it to the point where you measured the WIDEST CIRCUMFERENCE of the chest O1, which is 3-4 fingers behind the legs/armpits.
  • Line P2 measure by finding the beginning of the breastbone with your hand, which starts immediately after the first indentation under the neck, and extend it to the point where you measured the NARROWEST CIRCUMFERENCE of the chest O2, which is between the last ribs, where the transition to the abdominal cavity is felt
  • Line H1 measure from the wither (bone you feel at the start of the neck between the shoulder blades) to the WIDEST CIRCUMFERENCE, as shown in the image.
  • Line H2 measure from the wither (bone you feel at the start of the neck between the shoulder blades) to the NARROWEST CIRCUMFERENCE, as shown in the image.

Why Mi2 Harnesses?

Mi2 harnesses are comfortable for dogs and are harmless both physically and psychologically. They allow for unrestricted movement and communication with other dogs. The straps are made of nylon, which has many advantages such as high mechanical resistance to friction, lightness, and softness to the touch. The material does not rub or cut either the dog or the handler’s hands. It is easy to clean (machine washable, does not shrink, dries quickly, and does not need ironing), moths do not attack it, it is non-toxic, and hypoallergenic.

All straps are neatly finished and folded outward, so edges and seams do not irritate or pinch the dog. The clips are made of very durable plastic that withstands up to -20 degrees Celsius, open and close smoothly, and have no sharp edges.

In Mi2 dog school, they recommend and use H-type harnesses (H visible on the back, Y in front of the chest) for several reasons:

  • Psychologically, the dog, like any other creature, feels better if not choked and dragged around by the neck. In serious situations, dogs punish each other with a bite on the upper neck fold. A bite in the lower neck aims to kill the opponent. Thus, the dog’s neck is very sensitive to any touch, especially pressure and tightening experienced with collars and choke chains (not to mention other devices like haltis, electric collars, collars spraying various liquids into the dog, etc.),
  • From a health perspective, the neck is equally sensitive. The outside of the neck is covered with skin protected from external factors by fur, which cannot defend against the injuries that can be caused by the devices mentioned above.

Potential injuries from using a collar include:

  • trachea damage and breathing problems (attention to flat-faced breeds!),
  • esophagus and hyoid bone damage (difficulty swallowing),
  • lymph node damage (thymus gland damage is critical in puppies and young dogs!!),
  • thyroid gland damage, vein damage, and related eye pressure (attention to flat-faced breeds and those with bulging eyes!), disrupted blood flow to and from the brain,
  • tightened muscles (injury affects the movement of the entire body),
  • vertebrae and intervertebral disc injury (spinal osteoarthritis and disc herniation), pinched nerves in the cervical spine and more

A Swedish study showed that 63% of dogs have back problems, 91% of which frequently pull on the collar or are often pulled by their owners.

Pulling on the leash is not only unpleasant due to stress, irritability, and negative associations with the environment that occur during pulling, but it can also lead to serious behavioral and other irreversible health issues.

What makes a good harness?

  • has a Y-shape front where the center lies on the bone start, not the soft neck part.
  • does not restrict shoulders, allowing free leg movement.
  • does not obstruct the neck, staying entirely on the chest
  • does not rub the dog under the armpits

Let the thought of “my dog doesn’t pull on the leash” not be an excuse for using improper tools, as even a single tug can sometimes cause injuries. We believe every dog deserves the best, and we all love our dogs. Remember, true love never pulls by the neck.

Instructions for use: the harness is easy to maintain and machine washable.

Material: nylon
