Harness for Greyhounds that Allows Natural Movement and Prevents Escape

The Double Harness against Escape and Twisting by Mi2 is designed for fearful dogs and those that easily slip out of regular harnesses and collars. The harness doesn't rotate as the bottom part is structured to rest well on the dog's chest. It is specifically developed for greyhounds and greyhound-like dogs, with a wide and deep chest.

Four closure clips, 8-point adjustment, and straps that do not hinder the armpits, fitting snugly to your dog's body will ensure comfortable, relaxed, and safe walks.

Instructions for Ordering and Measuring Your Dog:

**Measure your dog as shown in the image below and send measurements in the order note.

O1 = the widest chest circumference
O2 = the narrowest circumference (under the last rib)
H1 = from the dog's withers (between shoulder blades) to the widest circumference (O1)
H2 = from the dog's withers to the narrowest circumference (O2)
P1 = from the sternum (first notch under the neck) to O1
P2 = from the sternum to the narrowest circumference (O2).

Why Choose Mi2 Harnesses?

Mi2 Dog School recommends and uses H-type harnesses (visible as an 'H' on the back and a 'Y' on the chest) for several reasons:

• Psychologically, like any other being, a dog feels better when not being choked and dragged around by the neck. Dogs are seriously punished with a nip to the skin fold on the upper neck, bites to the lower neck are meant to kill the opponent. Therefore, a dog's neck is very sensitive to any contact, especially pressing and tightening, which constantly happens with collars and choke collars (not to mention other devices like halters, electric collars, liquid-spraying collars, etc.),
• From a health standpoint, the neck is also very sensitive. The exterior is covered by skin protected by fur, which cannot defend against injuries caused by the mentioned devices.

Collar Use Can Lead to Injuries Such as:

• Trachea damage and breathing difficulties (beware of brachycephalic breeds!!),
• Esophagus and hyoid bone injuries (difficult and painful swallowing),
• Lymph node damage (thymus, whose damage is critical in puppies and young dogs!!),
• Thyroid gland injury, vein and related eye pressure (beware of brachycephalic breeds and those with prominent eyes), impaired blood flow to and from the brain,
• Muscle tightness (injuries affecting whole body movement),
• Vertebrae and intervertebral disc damage (spinal osteoarthritis and disc herniation), spinal nerve entrapment in the cervical spine, and more.

Swedish research showed that as much as 63% of dogs have back issues, of which 91% frequently pull on a collar or are often pulled on a collar by their owners.

Pulling on the leash is therefore not just uncomfortable due to stress, irritability, and negative associations with the environment that arise during pulling, but it can also lead to serious behavioral and irreversible health issues.

What Makes a Good Harness?

• Has a Y-shape at the front, with the center lying not on the soft neck area but at the sternum bone start.
