A fast, practical, and healthy alternative to a healthy balanced meal for dogs on an elimination diet, renal diet, or on days when you don't offer meat. Many dogs today suffer from so-called food intolerances. They react to common types of meat such as chicken, turkey, or beef, as well as to grains, soy, and/or dairy products. Such issues can also be triggered by commonly used binders, fillers, and flavor enhancers in food (especially in dry food – kibble).
Each ingredient in the food can be a cause of intolerance. The dog's immune system responds with a defense reaction (diarrhea, belching, vomiting, itchiness, ...) against protein molecules it identifies as "foreign".
Be aware of the most common allergy triggers; animal proteins (poultry, beef) and/or plant sources such as grains or soy. With kidney disease or renal insufficiency, a reduced protein diet or kidney diet feeding Napani vegan menus can help.
Symptoms of intolerance in dogs:
- red skin (reddened areas)
- dermatitis
- itchiness
- issues with quickly clogged anal glands and itching of the rear
- hair loss
- digestive problems (frequent diarrhea)
- weight loss without reduced food intake
- ear issues
Idea: also fits well as a side dish to meat (BARF or cooked) for a complete meal.
!! Note: Consult a veterinarian before use.
Idea for a healthy and balanced meal on a "meatless day".
- Napani vegan organic wet food menus for dogs are also ideal for an elimination diet!
Nowadays, allergies in dogs are very common. Symptoms may present themselves in various ways; skin issues, stomach problems like vomiting and nausea in dogs, or general digestive issues. If you've noticed that your dog often belches after meals and has issues with acid and digestion, one way to determine what irritates their digestion is an "elimination diet," which is sensible and precise in such cases.
Elimination Diet – What Is It?
In other words “elimination diet” is a dietary method and tool for identifying intolerances, sensitivities, and allergies in dogs. This means certain foods are intentionally removed from the dog's diet and focus is on limiting traditional protein sources; meat, eggs, or dairy – protein intake from insects is suggested. Then, foods that do not harm the dog are gradually reintroduced into their diet.
