Organic menu with buckwheat, lentils, zucchini, apples, and carrots

A quick, practical, and healthy alternative for a balanced meal for dogs on an exclusion diet, kidney diet, or on days when you do not offer them meat. Many dogs today suffer from so-called food intolerance. They react to common types of meat, such as chicken, turkey, or beef, as well as grains, soy, and/or dairy products. Problems can also be caused by frequently used binders, fillers, and flavor enhancers in food (especially in dry food - kibble).

  • for dogs with sensitive digestion (stomach issues, nausea, vomiting)
  • for dogs with food intolerances
  • for dogs with allergies to traditional protein sources

Symptoms of intolerance in dogs:

  • red skin (reddish areas)
  • dermatitis
  • itchiness
  • issues with quickly clogged anal glands and itching of the rear
  • hair loss
  • digestive issues (frequent diarrhea)
  • weight loss without reduced food intake
  • ear problems

Idea: also works great as a side dish to meat (BARF or cooked) for a complete meal.

Exclusion Diet – What is it?

Or in other words “exclusion diet” is a method of feeding and a tool for determining intolerances, sensitivities, and allergies in dogs. This means certain foods are deliberately excluded from the dog's diet and the focus is on limiting traditional sources of protein; meat, eggs, or dairy products – it is recommended to use proteins from insects. Then gradually reintroduce foods that do not harm the dog back into the diet.

!! Note: Consult your veterinarian before use.

  • without added oils, vitamins, and minerals of synthetic origin

Considerations

A lower content of animal proteins in dog food offers many advantages. These days, there exists and is even a greater danger for domesticated dogs with excess intake of animal proteins than with a deficiency. A dog's organism is not optimally adapted to process an excessive amount of proteins, as can happen with a monotonous diet rich mostly in muscle meat, like beef. Long-term excessive intake of protein can negatively affect the metabolism of the four-legged friend, especially kidney function. This can often be recognized by symptoms such as itching, red spots on the skin (paws), and hair loss. However, it is important to stress that these symptoms can have other causes as well.
