Synergy of Ingredients
PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) is a natural substance found in the brain. It helps maintain the physiological balance of various organs and tissues, including the brain. Senilife® Plus replenishes endogenous PEA reserves in its most bioavailable form (ultra-micronized, PEA-um). When taking Senilife, PEA accumulates mainly in the hippocampus (responsible for cognitive changes), ensuring synaptic and memory plasticity. PEA maintains the right level of endocannabinoids, like 2-AG, which decrease with age.
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is the main fatty acid in phospholipids, the cell membrane in the brain. It is a natural component of neurons that maintains proper cell membrane fluidity. It participates in the synthesis of phosphatidylserine. In synergy with pyridoxine (vit B6), it optimizes neurotransmission.
Vitamin E has a special antioxidant function, neutralizing free radicals formed during brain aging. It also protects DHA from peroxidation and slows physiological cognitive aging.
Contains a source of phosphatidylserine, lecithin, which is particularly abundant in neuronal membranes. Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid, a component of the cell membrane of mast cells and microglia. It maintains proper membrane fluidity and positively affects age-related neurotransmitter decline. It controls microglia reactivity and thus slows down age-related cognitive decline.
Vitamin B6 - Pyridoxine is an essential co-factor in neurotransmitter synthesis (such as serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, etc.), supporting the nervous system.
