DiaGiar® for Infection with Giardia canis

For healthy intestines or recovery from Giardia canis infection

DiaGiar® tablets contain a blend of essential oils and other natural ingredients that maintain physiological intestinal health. They have antiseptic, antidyspeptic, and antioxidative effects on the digestive system. When a Giardia infection occurs, DiaGiar® supplement is taken together with medication until the condition resolves. If used without medication, treatment will be longer, up to several months. Preventatively, it is recommended to administer DiaGiar® cyclically, especially in areas with a high presence of giardia and during spring-summer periods.

One of the active ingredients is garlic essential oil, which effectively removes parasites. To achieve the same effect with raw garlic, a dog would need to consume large amounts, which could be harmful to the dog (high in anemia-inducing compounds).

Active ingredients:

CINNAMON ESSENTIAL OIL - extracted from leaves by steam distillation. Various studies have shown that cinnamon essential oil has antimicrobial properties against bacteria, yeasts, and molds. It has antiseptic properties with a strong broad-spectrum antibacterial effect.

TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL - known as Tea Tree oil. It's a compound well-known for its use in medical and cosmetic purposes due to its antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral properties.

GARLIC ESSENTIAL OIL - both fresh garlic and its essential oil are used in the food industry as natural antimicrobial agents, flavors, and antioxidants. It has antimicrobial properties.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL - provides antibacterial, antifungal, carminative (relaxation of the smooth muscle of the digestive tract), anti-inflammatory, soothing activity, and is effective in treating burns and insect bites.

MINT ESSENTIAL OIL - useful for flatulence, bloating, digestive disorders, colitis, diarrhea, cramps, dyspepsia, and generally for disorders related to the digestive system. It has excellent antibacterial effects. Similar to other essential oils, it has bactericidal properties. An antioxidant and excellent remedy in case of intestinal parasites.

VITAMIN E - the most widespread and common among vitamins with antioxidant properties, fights free radicals, and promotes cell renewal. It's considered the physiological antioxidant "par excellence," protecting vitamin A and saturated and unsaturated fatty acids from oxidation. It can also increase the body's tolerance to toxic substances.

PEPPER - the chemically active and main substance in the spice is piperine, an alkaloid, which makes pepper an excellent stimulant, tonic, promotes digestion, and by stimulating the secretion of gastric juices, aids the digestive process by easing nutrient absorption (useful for obtaining the maximum benefit from ingested food). It also contains numerous mineral salts such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, selenium, and iodine, and vitamins such as E, A, and some from the B group. Several types of Piper are also used to treat parasitic and antibacterial diseases.

PUMPKIN SEED - rich in essential microelements such as K, Na, Cr, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mo, and Se. Effective deworming action is performed by removing parasites from the intestinal walls, thus facilitating their natural elimination.

CHIOS MASTIC - an oily resin obtained from the natural exudate of the Lentisk plant, Pistacia Lentiscus, belonging to the Anacardiaceae family. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. It is anti-inflammatory: the mastic resin is used to soothe inflammation of the stomach tract and protect stomach cells. It has disinfectant and antibacterial effects, useful for diseases, especially of the oral cavity.

BEE PRODUCTS - various hive products that result from bee work, usually include: honey, propolis, pollen, royal jelly, and waxes. These are various substances that generally have a plant origin; some are then enriched with various processing methods or even with the bee's own digestion (e.g., propolis). The biological activities recognized for bee products are primarily attributed to their significant content of phenolic compounds (especially flavonoids).

Note: An updated formulation with net 1000 mg (60 tablets) is coming and a slight change in ingredients; Chios mastic is replaced by Malva sylvestris. Mallow offers protective action against stomach ulcers. Overall, mallow has an even greater protective effect on the digestive tract, which is particularly important due to the wide range of essential oils in the formula.
